Flagship RMIT Transnational Education Initiative Receives Funding

RMIT will again host a two-week immersion visit for BITS Pilani students in 2026, after receiving funding from the Victorian government, under the ‘Yes to International Students Fund’.

The immersion visit provides Indian students with a taste of Melbourne during their first year of studies at the BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy. Students will participate in academic workshops, student support inductions, cultural activities and networking.

The Victorian government grant will also allow RMIT to design and deliver four pilot short courses to meet workforce demands in Indonesia across digital, creative industries, regenerative futures, and health.

The funding announcement is testament to RMIT’s reputation as a leading provider of transnational education; enhancing bilateral relations, regional collaboration and prosperity.

The ‘Yes to International Students Fund’ was first announced by Victorian premier Jacinta Allan during a visit to BITS Pilani in India with RMIT in 2024.
